Caffeine, a major constituent in the topical cellulite reducer Revitol® works as a stimulant as well as a vasodilator. It stimulates the breakdown of fat cells and also widens the blood vessels in the area, thereby increasing circulation which helps remove toxins, fat and excess fluids.

When blood is allowed to move into the region, it stimulates the natural metabolic pathways of the body and you will also burn more fat naturally. Caffeine also inhibits (slows the action of) phosphodiesterase, an enzyme that helps break down cyclic AMP. Less cyclic AMP equals less cellular energy. By preventing the phospodiesterases from breaking down the cyclic AMP, cellular energy is used efficiently.
